New Frontier Mobile Diagnostics brings quality, affordable diagnostic imaging to patients in doctors’ offices, clinics, and care facilities.
Our customers include an array of doctors’ offices, clinics, care facilities and self funded corporate plans.
Imaging provides the first “look” at a medical issue, so accessing quality imaging is a critical step in a patient’s health journey. Unfortunately, high health care costs, consolidating hospitals, and concerns over COVID exposure mean that fewer people are getting imaging procedures.
New Frontier believes everyone deserves to get their medical questions answered affordably, safely and reliably. Our mission, “Imaging for Everyone,” means getting quality imaging to people where they need it, in a familiar setting, and without it costing thousands of dollars.
NFMD has chosen GE Vivid and Logiq Ultrasound Machines, which are capable of pulsed wave, continuous wave, color, and power Doppler capabilities. A variety of high-quality GE transducers allow a variety of scanning options, including echocardiograms, vascular, abdominal, musculoskeletal.
New Frontier Mobile Diagnostics was started in November 2019 in Kansas City, Missouri. We’re headquartered in the heart of Downtown Kansas City, at 1301 Oak Street.
In doing so, New Frontier directly engaged Supervising Physicians from Healient Physicians Group, Kansas City Pediatric Cardiology, and UIC. We adopted their imaging protocols and integrated their feedback into our ongoing quality assurance processes. We know exactly what physicians will read our studies, and when pathology is found, they are directly available for consult.
New Frontier's sonographers are all experienced professionals, with and average of 10 years of quality ultrasound experience. All sonographers are full-time employees, dedicated to providing patients high-quality imaging care.
NFMD was founded by Jeff Blackwood, a Kansas City native and life-long resident. Throughout his career, Jeff blended work with service, and NFMD’s mission of “Imaging for Everyone” stems from Jeff’s desire to serve the community.Previously, Jeff founded Pathfinder, a national provider of software for tracking autism therapy, and has been honored with the Microsoft Health Innovation Award, named a Healthcare Transformer by Startup Health, recognized as a Kauffman Foundation Top EdTech Connector, and as a member of HEMP and PIPELINE entrepreneurial organizations.
Jeff has previously served on the national committee of the Autism Society of America, the Kansas City Area Life Sciences Institute, and has participated in autism research projects with Children’s Mercy Hospital and the University of Missouri.
Supervision of New Frontier's cardiac and vascular procedures is handled through our partnership with Healient Physicians Group, the area's Heart, Vascular, and Wound Care specialists.
New Frontier serves a full age range of patients, including pediatric echocardiograms supervised by Dr. Bill Drake and the team at Kansas City Pediatric Cardiology.
